On 30 November 2021 the Institute of Material, Minerals and Mining (I.M3) hosted the Critical Mineral conference. Lithium, Copper, and Graphite are the building blocks of the Green Economy. The British Isles are geologically diverse, and many of these building blocks can be found in soil. If these elements are found, the economic viability is still a question. Also, processing and manufacturing are part of the equation. We found out the hard way how variable is the global supply chain. To have a competitive green economy Britain must improve all angles of the critical mineral industry.
